Drawings—2022

2021-2022 was my first year of retirement, and this was when I began drawing and experimenting with new media. I focused on small works, at most 5 x 5 inches. Smaller works of art seemed to me to be more intimate. Perhaps I chose this way to work because after teaching design, both graphic and web technology, when technology was ever-expanding. I longed for something more intimate, more focused, something to reignite my creativity and allow my subconscious to lead my work. 

I hope you enjoy these drawings. I agree with Mr. Hopper: If I could say it with words, I wouldn’t have a reason to do art.
