While Michael and I were staying in Hermosa Beach, California, during the winter of 2023, I decided to record the sun’s relationship with the sea and me through the lens of my iPhone 13. This series was inspired by light, color, the sun, reflections, and light filtering through particles in the atmosphere. I am sure Alfred Stieglitz, Man Ray, and Duane Michals also had an impact.
