The Abstraction of Spring

There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.”

Abstraction of Spring

I don’t think I ever remove any evidence of reality but I am not all that sure that we really start with reality in the first place. Surely, we start with our experience of reality and perhaps we twist and turn that into another experience of reality interwoven with our joys, sorrows, pain, and intellect… Basically, it is an interplay for me, as I weave these things together.
